The Cottage
Brook Hill Cottage offers accommodation for 4 - 8 people in 4 bedrooms.
The master bedroom has a king-size double bed, en suite bathroom and ample space for a travel cot if required. There are 2 further double bedrooms and one twin room with use of a family bathroom with shower over a bath. Both bathrooms have under floor heating and heated towel rails.
Downstairs the layout is open plan, with the option of separating off the living room with sliding screen doors. The kitchen is well equipped with all mod cons, including dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, double oven and induction hob and is well stocked with a wide selection of crockery, glassware, pans, baking equipment, utensils and picnic ware. A dining area with a large oak refectory table provides plenty of space for 8 people to sit down for a meal. We also provide a pint of milk and staples such as tea, coffee, sugar, olive oil, salt & pepper.
A utility room leading off the dining area provides a washing machine, tumble dryer, additional fridge and freezer, iron, ironing board and plenty of space for drying or storing walking and/or sports kit. There is also a downstairs toilet and secure garage with flat access through to the back garden. The garage can provide secure storage for bikes if needed.
At the front of the house, there is off-street parking for 2-3 cars on a gravel drive with deep flower beds to frame your views out over rolling hills of green grazing land. At the back of the house there is a small lawn and gravelled courtyard with garden furniture for dining al fresco. There is also a hose for cleaning down bikes and hiking gear.
Other features
The renovation of the house has been undertaken whilst being mindful of the environmental impact, both in terms of climate change and using a design that is in-keeping with the rest of the village.
Management
Brook Hill Cottage is owned and managed by the Bailey family. Malcolm and Angela, both retired teachers, live in the village and can help with any queries you have during your stay. Their children, Sarah and Matthew, live in London and help with management of the cottage and bookings.
