Brook Hill Cottage is your home from home in rural Yorkshire, and a perfect base for exploring the Peak District National Park and surroundings.  Nestled in the hamlet of Carlecotes, this 4 bedroom (sleeps 8), self-catering, semi-detached house is available all year around for holiday lets.

The cottage offers bright, modern accommodation, whilst remaining sympathetic with the local architecture.  Refurbished a few years ago, original features such as traditional stone work have been preserved, whilst double glazing, underfloor heating and a log burner have been installed to ensure the house is warm and cosy.

Although situated in a quiet rural hamlet, the cottage is within easy reach of Sheffield, Manchester and Leeds, allowing you to make the most of both urban and countryside attractions nearby.  

This area of Yorkshire on the north eastern boundary of the Peak District is full of things to do, with great walking, cycling and climbing routes, stately homes, arts venues, abundant bird life, farmland, award winning food producers and plenty of days out.

With Holme Moss and the Strines, Langsett and Ladybower a few kms away, Brook Hill Cottage is a great base for a cycling holiday or training week, on or off road.  If you are feeling really keen you can follow the route of the Tour de Yorkshire or the 2014 Tour de France! There is secure storage for your bikes, plenty of washing and drying facilities for bikes and kit, track pump and chain cleaner and a great kitchen to help with refuelling your energy supplies.  We can provide route ideas and suggest stop-offs for coffee, lunch and cake on your rides.
